59165 Posted 15 April , 2008 Share Posted 15 April , 2008 There are 2 threads running that cover Gavrelle,Roeux & Neuville Vittasse that I was going to add these too but, there's too many & Monchy more than warrants a thread of its own.Theres gonna be loads of faults in the photo descriptions as I only have a small bit of map & Geo portail to help(& a dodgy memory) Here goes.... Petit bois seen from Green Lane, right is Hook trench going off to the right. 10 troops were found here several years ago in a shallow grave, all Commonwealth but no tags. Petit bois is private but has never been touched since nature took it back.It is used by its owner to raise game birds for the hunt. I walked the 2 klicks back to Monchy & found a friendly farmer who pulled the motor out of the mud. I popped in today & gave him a half decent bottle of Whisky.Who said the frogs were anti Brit?
