hadham Posted 18 March , 2008 Share Posted 18 March , 2008 I seem to remember a forum topic (end of last year) with someone researching a soldier from 114 RFA ~ however they had been told by RFA museum and confirmed by forum members that no such brigade was raised and 114 battery never went abroard. However I am researching another soldier, George T Clarke died 18/9/1918 ( Sarigol Cemetery, Kriston~Italy I think!) and named on Much Hadham war memorial. Now the cwgc and medal index clearly shows he was a Lieut in c/bty 114bde. RFA So can anyone help with info on G.T Clarke and esp' 114 bde RFA ( surely it must have existed !) ororkep Posted 18 March , 2008 Share Posted 18 March , 2008 Richard, Then you were misinformed 114 Brigade RFA (CXIV) was part of 26th div artillery and served in Salonika. A relevant diary survives for them at NA reference WO95/4864. 114 Battery RFA did exist and was part of 25th Brigade serving abroad in France along with 113 and 115 Batteries.
