Hi all I know the pictures not clear , but does anyone have any idea what regiment this soldier could of been in , Ive cropped the picture he is actually on horseback , any ideas?

Hi Dave,

It really is too fuzzy for me to say with any certainty but, given horseback and general shape of badge I would suggest Army Service Corps.

cheers chris , I know it was a long shot but trying to help out a friend and this is the only picture, narrows it down for me , the man in the picture is charles welsh lived in the greenwich area all his life from what I know,

Well I can see Three Charles Welsh(s) in the Nat.Arch MICs.....

Edit: Ancestry has a discharge sheet for a Charles Welsh ASC gives an intended address in Wimbledon (born 1887) regt number 361168

thanks for that Chris , I dont think its him the ages dont add up, Ive found one it could be but just wondered if its possible to determine where someone enlisted from his service number , T2SR/03097

any ideas?
