centurion Posted 11 March , 2008 Share Posted 11 March , 2008 I enclose a link to a site that contains a photo of a Romanian mortar in action in 1917 (ignore the WW2 caption on the photo it refers to the site). It appears to be a variety of toffee apple ( a lollipop ?). Is it an indigenous product or an import? Romanian
James Blonde Posted 11 March , 2008 Share Posted 11 March , 2008 Hallo centurion, off the head I do not know, but, I belong to the Web Forum associated with www. WW2.ro they have a section on WW1, as well. So I can post your question there and look for an answer. Also, I have to travel to Bucharest, to attend a social function with the Irish Embassy for Saint Patrick's Day on the 17th March. On the 18th I will pay a visit to the Romanian Military Museum, who knows in the Artillery Park to the rear there might be one such item on display. Connaught Stranger.
