It formed 18 battalions, apparently. But how can I find out which of the battalions - if any 23rd Company belonged to? Any thoughts? sotonmate Posted 11 March , 2008 Share Posted 11 March , 2008 Chris Slim pickings in the NA Catalogue. There is only one file, in WO95, and that is for 12 Battalion RDC. There is one file which may have something,and worth a look. WO32/18622 is entitled "Royal Defence Corps-Re-organisation,Demobilisation and Disbandment ". Might it have a list of Companies,Battalions and what was to happen to them. The file is dated 1917-1920. Other RDC files are into the 1930s. I note from a Google check that there are a few entries referring to various numbered Companies RDC but none of the few that I checked had the 23rd.
