Which Mitchell?

In the Royal Hampshire Regiment 1914-1918 by CT Atkinson are listed two Mitchells who were awarded the MM.

356410 Mitchell A

202711 Mitchell J.

One of these won their MM in 1917.

As in The Royal Hampshire Regiment 1918-1954 by David Scott Daniel it says on page 185,

It was about this time that the 1/4th lost a great character in Lance-Corporal Mitchell, MM.

He was fifity years old -he had won his MM in 1917-and he had become a kind of battalion institution. To his own and everyone else's disgust , he had to be relegated to a Base Depot under an order forbidding men over forty to remain with battalions.

That was in August 1944.

Can anyone tell me which of the two Mitchells it was and where did he earn his MM in 1917?

356410 A Mitchell of Bournemouth, was awarded his MM in the London Gazette of 12-12-1917

I can't find the other one. He may be on list of 1916 & 1917 MMs I have. I'll try and check later.

356410 A Mitchell is the only one I have on the 1916 and 1917 list. I guess that 202711 must be later.
