Not that I know of. But if anyone comes across a Sergeant Jack Stanley Burgess, 11823, 3rd Bn (died 6/3/17) I'd be interested in any details, particularly to know if the Bn was in action that day.

Howard, the closest thing to it that I know of is a "Nominal Roll of Warrant and NCOs serving in the KAR Quarter Ending 3 September 1918".

Its in the PRO, Colonial Office files CO 534/26 pp 373 - 422

A useful list, particularly for historians of TF units which seemed to have supplied the bulk of the NCOs

John - it was good to meet you in the PRO last week, sounds like you had a very successful couple of days

Charles,

What information is held on idividuals in the files you mention?

One of 'my' 9th King's NCOs later served in the KAR and I always wondered why.

Regards,

Ken

Its just a straight alphabetical listing of 50 pages of NCOs - must be 2000 or so in there. Info is:

number

rank

name and initials

unit from which they were seconded

KAR unit to which attached

I found several of my Herts and 19th London men in it
