Hello all,

Is that a Lewis gun on the shoulder of the man directly below the arch?

How many Lewis gun teams might have been with the 1st Seaforths?

Thanks,

Tom

To me it looks as if they are marching (or ambling along) 3 abreast. The man nearest has his rifle slung on his shoulder while the man in the centre has his rifle shouldered. The images of the two rifles are interfering with each other giving the impression of a larger weapon.
