Coldstreamer Posted 27 February , 2008 Share Posted 27 February , 2008 Hello Any one translate this for me ? Pr would indicate prisoner but the other names on the list with pr are not on my prisoner rolls ? Some back ground on Pte Walker He is recorded in Soldiers died as being killed on the 5th February 1915 whilst with the 3rd Battalion. However, the CWGC and 14 Star roll show the date as the 21st October 1914. As he is commerorated on a the Menin Gate memorial in Belgium and in February 1915 the CG’s where in France. The CWGC also confirm the 1914 date to be the correct one. Newpaper report says killed in Belgium The below extract is taken from "decisions of Cs of I (?)" not sure about the I! Any ideas what this is ? Court of inquiry ? My guess is he was missing assumed dead Thanks
