Remembered Today:

Late Re-issue - 1986!

I have just looked at an MIC for 3830 Richard Napier, Liverpool Regiment and seen that there was a small yellow triangle next to his name on the search list - what does that signify?

Also, his card states that his trio was "Retd. (992 KR 1923) 8426.adt." and subsequently, "1914-15 Star, BW + VM issued iv 4607 DTD 02-09-86"

So, it looks as though someone claimed his trio relatively recently.

I didn't realise they were still being issued so late.

That is about the year the books closed and the records went to the PRO now NA I think you will find.

Sassoons war medals [not his MC] were claimed very late, too.
