munce Posted 2 February , 2004 Posted 2 February , 2004 Can anyone fill in some details as to what the 2 Royal Scots (3rd Division) did during the battle of Cambrai? I know they were on one extreme edge of the battle, and perhaps used as some sort of diversion, but know nothing more. Can anyone help?
Geoff Parker Posted 4 February , 2004 Posted 4 February , 2004 Munce Note much info I'm afraid. 2nd Royal Scots moved from Flanders to the Bapaume area in October 1917 and remained in this location until Jan 1918. During this time it was involved in various trench raids, etc. Geoff
Robert Dunlop Posted 4 February , 2004 Posted 4 February , 2004 9th Brigade, 3rd Division took part in a diversionary attack at Bullecourt on 20th November (2 Royal Scots were in 8th Brigade). There is no mention of 2 Royal Scots in the Official History of Cambrai.
