Remembered Today:

A new Unknown Warrior

Pals,

A group of steam railway enthusiasts are going to recreate a LMS Patriot class steam locomotive at the

Llangollen Railway.

Unlike some classes of engine all the LMS Patriot’s were cut up at the end of steam.

David Beardshaw the project leader approached the Steam Railway magazine to come up with an

appropriate name for the engine and the name chosen was “ The Unknown Warrior”

For further information see www.lms-patriot.org.uk

Best wishes

Malcolm

I've never heard of such a project before. Good luck to them - the 'Pats' were a very nice class. It'll cost a bob or two.

Reading the reports on the link above , there seem to have been quite a few problems and according to the website, the project has been relocated to Crewe. Good luck to them.
