1st east yorks Posted 20 February , 2008 Posted 20 February , 2008 Hello, I understood that a Subaltern was a Second Lieutenant.I read in a book today mention of a Lieutenant being referred to as a Subaltern.Are they both classed as Subalterns or have i miss read this. Thanks, Anthony.
