16984 Sgt David Williams KOSB

CWGC states his parents are from Barry, Glamorgan. SDGW says he was born Aberystwyth, enlisted and resided in Barry Forfarshire. He is on the SNWM which suggests he was Scottish, but also states he was born in Aberystwyth.

Does anyone know if KOSB recruited in either of these places?

I'd definitely go with the CWGC information. As I'm sure you will know, SDGW is riddled with errors. The reason for his inclusion on the SNWM is that he was serving in a Scottish regiment. As an extra, my records indicate that he enlisted in the second week of December 1914, probably about the 10th.

Thanks Stuart, I think your are probably right. It seemed too much of a coincidence. The thing that made me think twice was the Scottish Regiment.
