German unit deployments

Hi,

Does anyone know the best way to determine German unit deployments, i.e. which unit was involved in a particular defence or attack? I'm intersted to find which german unit was facing the 62nd Division attack on 2nd September 1918 at Vaulx vraucourt.

Tim,

I would look in the 62nd Division intelligence summaries. Also the brigade and corps intsums. And annexes to the the Division's War Diary.
