Gat Posted 13 February , 2008 Posted 13 February , 2008 I know CROIX BLANCHE is close to Laventie but I don't know where it is exactly. I'd appreciate some information. Also if you know if there is a Croix Blanche photo I would like to know how I can get hold of that too. Many Thanks
high wood Posted 13 February , 2008 Posted 13 February , 2008 CROIX BLANCHE is north east of Laventie on the route to Fleubaix. South of the river Lys, south west of Armentieres, and due west of Lille.
6th Shropshires Posted 14 February , 2008 Posted 14 February , 2008 Hope the map attached comes out ok
Guest stevecoe1955 Posted 27 December , 2015 Posted 27 December , 2015 I would love to view the map that shows Croix Blanche mentioned by 'Old Sweats'......best regards.
brianmorris547 Posted 30 December , 2015 Posted 30 December , 2015 On the NLS system Sheet 36 NW. La Croix Blanche is also shown on the IGN 1:25,000 No 2404 E, Armentieres, just south of Fleurbaix. Brian
brianmorris547 Posted 29 February , 2016 Posted 29 February , 2016 This thread appears to have run it's course but out of interest there are detailed hand drawn maps of the defences between Croix Blanche and Bois-Grenier for February/ March 1916 in the WD of the Commander Royal Engineers 8 Div. On Ancestry piece 1688/1-5 page 830/968. Brian
