German and French Army Pay?

Hello All,

I've been asked to submit a small article regarding the differences in pay between English, French and German soldiers in WWI.

I can source British Army pay, but have very little info on France and Germany. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have no figures on hand , so cannot come up with numbers. But I want to stress that like in today's world, a direct comparison of salaries says nothing. You have to include in your study all the different benefits, want to say subsidies and allowances. Then you might come to a fair comparison....the salary of X may be lower than Y, but including the allowances, X may be much better situated....
