here is another request for our war memorial. I have found the info from the cwgc and seen he is in the medal rolls, but hope that there is some other information that we can add to our publication. You have all been so helpful with my other requests.

My grandfather was in 1/20th Londons at the time and he left a brief diary. Entry for Monday 3rd January 1916 reads: "Rise at 7.30 and march to Les Brebis at 11 am. Fairly long march but get good billet. Narrow escape from shell which killed three and wounded eight, D Company, very lucky." Cpl Lindon was, perhaps, one of the wounded.
