rednorm Posted 12 February , 2008 Share Posted 12 February , 2008 Hi I am trying to trace where my father served in the first world war. At the begining of the war he was a reservist, having served in the regular army RFA for 7 years (Nov 1906-Nov 1913) the last 5 years in India. The only information I have is, Married in Birmingham in April 1918 Absent Voters Registry W BROOKES 44355 Gnr C/55th Bde Am Col RFA and W Brookes 44355 Gnr 3rd Bde Am Col RFA Any information will be much appreciated Towerhill

SteveE Posted 12 February , 2008 Share Posted 12 February , 2008 my father was awarded the WW1 War Medal and the WW1 Victory Medal As he wasn't awarded a 'Star' we at least know now that he didn't serve overseas before 1st January 1916.
