The Guardroom Posted 11 February , 2008 Posted 11 February , 2008 The MIC of James W Freeman states he transferred to the 133rd Labour Corps from the Queen's Regt service No 49684. What is does not say is which Queens Regt it was ? I only thought their was the Queens Regt today from seceral amalgamations and that during WW1 there were several Queens Regts such as the Queens Royal Surreys; Queens Royal West Surreys; Queens Lancashires etc. Can anyone help advise to which one of these the Queens Regt referes to please as either a full title or nickname at this time. Many thanks, Alan
high wood Posted 11 February , 2008 Posted 11 February , 2008 The name, The Queen's Regiment, always applies to the Queen's (Royal West Surrey) Regiment.
