Alfred Niblett born 1896 living in English Bicknor/Joyford Glos. There are a few Alfred's on the medal roll index , but I dont know which regiment he was in -all

I know is he was wounded twice in the back - bullet wounds .He survived the war and went back to Joyford to live he had a daughter Doreen, and died about 1970's.

Any help would be appreciated.

He was our great uncle.

There are some Alfred Niblett's whose Pension Records survive but I don't think any are your Great uncle but you can eliminate them from the medal index cards you have

There is 1) Alfred Niblett M2/051887 RASC seems to be from Swindon a Blacksmith in civilian life

2) Alfred Niblett Royal Artillery from Toxteth Park , Liverpool 29954 who also has a record under 22369

3) Alfred Page Niblett 622881 from Sutton Surrey, Labour Corps
