Terry Denham Posted 6 February , 2008 Share Posted 6 February , 2008 The Villers-Bretonneux Memorial bears the names of Australian troops who died at sea en route to/from France. There are quite a few of them on there.

Andrew P Posted 7 February , 2008 Share Posted 7 February , 2008 Hi Chris I have a few like that also. One of my soldiers jumped overboard nearing Australia and is commemorated on the Villers Brettoneux Memorial yet others who died at sea in the same area are recorded on memorials in Egypt such as Chatby. It's strange but the good thing is at least they are all recorded somewhere. Cheers Andrew
