Rob Bulloch Posted 4 February , 2008 Posted 4 February , 2008 Hello to the Forum. I was given these maps by a friend of mine, I have posted (I Hope) a scan of the front and back, of the first one, they are as far as I can make out part of a set of 22 the numbers I have are #1 France, 11 Lens, 12 Valenciennes, 14 Abbevilles, 17 Amiens, 18 St Quentin. There is a soldiers name on them from the R H R of C and a date 26th 9th 1918 the paper of the maps is backed by some sort of cloth perhaps linen. I would like to pay my friend for them, any idea's on a fair price for item's like this any help with this would be greatfull accepted. Cheers All Rob.
MACRAE Posted 4 February , 2008 Posted 4 February , 2008 What I would do is find out his likes and buy him something the maps are not of great value. Dan
Rob Bulloch Posted 4 February , 2008 Author Posted 4 February , 2008 Thanks for that Dan! I did not think they were valuble, but the interesting thing about them is whoever had them used them as a note book, or address book with names of soldiers he served with in the RHR of C. But I have not had time to check the names yet. Thanks again Rob.
