Remembered Today:

Duggan brothers -- died August 1915 -- Dardanelles Campaign

Recommended Posts

Seeking further information on two brothers who were killed on the same day on either the 15th or 16th of August, 1915 during the Dardanelles Campaign. My source lists them both as being John Duggan, a Lt. and Capt. (age 20 and 29) respectively, but in searching the CWGC I believe that they are:

*Lt. J. R. Duggan, of the 5th Battalion, Royal Irish Regiment

*Capt. George Grant Duggan, of the 5th Battalion Royal Irish Fusiliers

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Ken

Soldiers Died gives very little on officers only that John Rowswell Duggan was killed and George Grant Duggan died of wounds. Ralph. (both on the 16th)
