pukkolla Posted 21 January , 2008 Share Posted 21 January , 2008 Hi, I am researching a number of my ancestors who served in the first war. This query is in relation to 4054 Pte Ambrose Edward Brown (or Edward Ambrose Brown). I believe that he served in the 4th Battalion East Yorkshire Regiment or might have been in the 13th Battalion East Yorkshire regiment. Can anyone confirm any of this and provide any details of medals that might have been awarded to him. I already have service details of his father George Tyson Brown and his Brother Percy (KIA 31/7/1917). Thanks for taking the time to read this. Pete. ralphjd Posted 21 January , 2008 Share Posted 21 January , 2008 HI, Three pages(one a duplicate) on Pte Edward Ambrose Brown 2/4th East Yorkshire Regt on Ancestry British Army Records burnt series. address 7 Wilberforce Terrace Argyle St Hull served from 20-5-1915 -- 14-3-1919 no note on medal entitlement though. Other members should be able to throw more light on this for you, and probably get the papers to you as I cannot through some "blip" on my computer. Regards Ralph.
