Has anyone come across this man? I have his MC citation and a few bits from the Gazette but no details of his unit or indeed his career in general. It seems he was with some sort of bomber unit according to the citation at least

Any help gratefully received

Thanks Hambo

Capt R B Bourdillon is mentioned three times in the RFC Communiques for Aug 1917 flying with 27 Squadron on Martinsyde Elephants. He joined the Sqn in Apr 1917 was hospitalised on 2 May and then returned in July departing finally 28 Aug. MC 26 Sep 1917. (According to C&CI article Vol 30 No 1 1999 on 27 Sqn Elephants).

Thanks for the info I'll check at the Archives when I'm next there. The 27 Squadron info is very helpful
