Coldstreamer Posted 17 January , 2008 Share Posted 17 January , 2008 Go on dont keep us in suspense whats the story Chris I think the problem was that 10339 John (Henry) Brown - Coldstream and 10369 John Brown - Coldstream are so similar the former was overlooked as a clerical error thought to be the same man recorded twice (both died 1914) I have the following to confirm SDGW , soldiers papers, local newspaper, Coldstream RHQ soldiers died records, 1914 star roll, 1914 Xmas gift roll, medal index card, - all confirm he was killed. However, it will not be possible to add his name to this Memorial immediately. Please contact the Commission before planning a visit, for more information.
