buxton_blade Posted 16 January , 2008 Share Posted 16 January , 2008 Recently acquired an LSBA's trio (ww1 medals) with RNASBR LSGC . His service record stated that he served from 1915 - 17 in or at MFA China. Any ideas on what it was?
melliget Posted 16 January , 2008 Share Posted 16 January , 2008 Recently acquired an LSBA's trio (ww1 medals) with RNASBRLSGC . His service record stated that he served from 1915 - 17 in or at MFA China. Any ideas on what it was? MFA was "Mercantile Fleet Auxiliary", so presumably a ship..? Or could it have referred to China Station, i.e. a shore establishment? MFA ships were requisitioned by the government and manned by the RNR and Mercantile Marine.
