Remembered Today:

Francis Keane

Bit of a longer shot, but does anyone have any info on this regimental number? I'm trying to research a relative, but all I know is that my family think he might have been in the artillery as he was deafen by the big guns (very dubious I know!). There only seems to be one Francis Keane in artillery from the MICs and thats his number up there.

The Francis Keane I'm looking for was born in Co. Mayo in abt 1887, but moved to the bradford when he was young.

Any help greatly appreciated!

The 152846 number would indicate someone finalising his enlistment mid April 1917 at the Citadel, Plymouth. How you prove this is "your man" may take a bit of research. Do you have any photos of him in uniform? Was he married, or had children, during the war where his regiment may be on the certificate?

Regards Kevin
