libster Posted 14 January , 2008 Share Posted 14 January , 2008 Rifleman William Ashton S/8155 7th Bn Rifle Brigade was reported severely wounded in the 7th August 1915 edition of the "Warrington Guardian" and later discharged on medical grounds on 30/11/15. Any help regarding his date of enlistment, entitlement to the Silver War Badge and pensions record details would be greatly appreciated. Ashton enlisted with his next door neighbour, Thomas Burns S/8154 killed 15/10/17 and my grandfather, who was the only one of the three workmates to come through (relatively) unscathed.
