vintagesunbeam Posted 20 November , 2013 Share Posted 20 November , 2013 Carol a tiny correction which may help you to locate records, etc - the correct spelling of the place name near Derby is DUFFIELD, not DRUFFIELD. Hope this helps!

Jim Strawbridge Posted 1 December , 2013 Share Posted 1 December , 2013 I always look but rarely find. But, thank you, Diane, today was trumps. I have the 1914/5 star to A. Lawton (not Lewton) that heads up your list.

SFayers Posted 7 December , 2013 Share Posted 7 December , 2013 Thanks for posting Craig, It's the first time I've seen a 5 Siege Battery man in one of these returns. Henry Axtell was wounded severely in both legs (as is clearly evidenced here) on 20th May 1918, and he died the next day in 4th Canadian CCS at Pernes. Would you mind if I download a copy of this for my records? All the best Steve

He was 83123 Sapper John Morris and he was wounded prior to 05/09/1916. He was discharged from T C Newark on 20/08/1917. Brian
