Ernest Gerrard was born in Bolton and enlisted there also. He was with the RGA and the RFA, Territorials. I will check; Woodger. Their names are: Private Harold Dawson Servant from Glasgow, RMLI, 1st Bn.R.M. Bn. R.N. Div.,Service No. CH/458/S (I already have his service records from the Fleet Air Arm Museum) Private J(oseph?) Wrigley, 9th Bn. East Surrey Regiment, Service No. 26693 Private P(ercy?) W(alther?) Toder, 2nd/5th Bn. Sherwood Foresters, Service No. 242617 Private F(red?) Twigger, 2nd/7th Bn. Sherwood Foresters, Service No. 266353 I wondered if you could give me any (additional) information about these men. Born in Liverpool and enlisted there also. formerly he was with the Manchester regiment where his number was 63307. He 'died' as opposed to being Killed in Action. See the discussion on this forum during the past week on the difference. Private P(ercy?) W(alther?) Toder, 2nd/5th Bn. Sherwood Foresters, Service No. 242617 SDGW does not give his first names just the initial P. Enlisted in Newark in Notts while living in Southwell in Notts, he 'Died' also. Private F(red?) Twigger, 2nd/7th Bn. Sherwood Foresters, Service No. 266353 Freg Twigger enlisted inNottingham and he 'Died' also. I will check them off De Ruvigneys this evening for you. Regards. PW/732 I have checked the cwgc site and it has date of death as 3 jan 1918 and he is burried at POTIJZE CHATEAU GROUNDS CEMETERY. I was wondering if your databases had any other information on him.
