nicburch Posted 8 January , 2008 Share Posted 8 January , 2008 I have a list of local men who apparently survived hostilities. What is the best start in finding more on these, in fact men of any regiment? Nick
Sue S Posted 8 January , 2008 Share Posted 8 January , 2008 It depends what you want to find out. Local newspapers often carried details of local servicemen for all sorts of reasons. Our local newspaper carries photographs and stories of people who heve won medals, been wounded, POWs, missing, in hospital, home on leave etc etc. Its a good place to start if you have a few hours to spare to look through the microfilm at a local record office.
