I've used the limited search options on Find my Past - and can find one man of this name - but all his other details are different to the above as per CDGW

The one I'm after is this one:

Name: BOND, WILLIAM ERNEST

Initials: W E

Nationality: United Kingdom

Rank: Private

Regiment/Service: Northamptonshire Regiment

Unit Text: 9th Labour Coy.

Secondary Regiment: Labour Corps

Secondary Unit Text: transf. to (87663) 147th Coy.

Age: 22

Date of Death: 21/04/1918

Service No: 36644

Additional information: Son of C. Z. and E. Bond, of 25, Stainforth Rd., Battersea, London.

Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead

Grave/Memorial Reference: II. E. 15.

Cemetery: WARLINCOURT HALTE BRITISH CEMETERY, SAULTY

I'm trying to do some initial research before asking a Northants/Labour Corps question

I've also got 2 other Labour Corps men who per CWGC died at home in 1919 - presume that's why I can't find them - and 2 others who are buried in France but died 24th and 26th November 1918 - so presume they missed a "cutoff date" too

TIA

Sue
