djcrtoye Posted 7 January , 2008 Share Posted 7 January , 2008 Hi, when transcribing the above diary I came across an action in which the 2nd Connaught Rangers took part in the dates are 14-15 September 1914. My question is how many O.R.s were killed that day as they do not appear in the diary only the officers figures. I also know that my ggranda was wounded in the knee on the 14th. I know the names at not there, but just want to the figures. Thanks.
auchonvillerssomme Posted 7 January , 2008 Share Posted 7 January , 2008 SDGW lists 30 KIA 1 DOW. couple of points. The DOW might not have been involved in that action. 2 more are listed as KIA on 16/09/1914 and one DOW 17/09/1914. There may have been men died of wounds afterwards.
