Jamie1906 Posted 20 January , 2003 Share Posted 20 January , 2003 In the medal roll for KOSB, my grandfather's name is on the page titled 'last served with SCD KOSB' what does this mean? The previous page is titled 'last served with ICD'.
Paul Reed Posted 20 January , 2003 Share Posted 20 January , 2003 ?Southern or ?Scottish Command Depot - i.e. a UK posting?
Jamie1906 Posted 20 January , 2003 Author Share Posted 20 January , 2003 That's possible as he was demobilised in Hamilton Scotland, so it would follow that ICD has a similar meaning. To clarify, the last 3 pages in the medal roll are 'last served with-Trg Bn & Depot, ICD and SCD

Jamie1906 Posted 22 January , 2003 Author Share Posted 22 January , 2003 According to the web site, the Scottish Command Depot was in NIGG, looking on the map there 2 such place names in Scotland, one being near Aberdeen and the other being towards Inverness, any ideas which one the depot was at? Arte et Marte.
Jock Bruce Posted 22 January , 2003 Share Posted 22 January , 2003 I've always assumed it was the one near Inverness and was part of the the conglomeration of military establishments round Cromarty/Invergordon - but I do admit to a Highland bias. In fact, I didn't know there was one in Aberdeen until now ............ Jock Bruce
