jwp2007 Posted 29 December , 2007 Share Posted 29 December , 2007 While researching my grandfather Pte.John Pearcy,i found he was transfered from KOYLI to 3rd battn.london regt.royal fusiliers on 12/06/18 reg.no.255351. On 31/10/18 he was badly wounded, the location given on his pension records is Ypres,he was moved to 1st australian ccs where his leg was amputated. I see some action took place at Tieghem on 31/10/18 and wondered if he may have been wounded here, could any pals confirm if the 3rd london regt. were in action here?. many thanks in anticipation, kind regards, John. Steven Broomfield Posted 29 December , 2007 Share Posted 29 December , 2007 I think the 3rd Londons (173rd Bde, 58th Division) were in the Lille area at the time.
