Remembered Today:

3rd batt. london regt. in action at tieghem ?

Recommended Posts

While researching my grandfather Pte.John Pearcy,i found he was transfered from KOYLI to 3rd battn.london regt.royal fusiliers on 12/06/18 reg.no.255351.

On 31/10/18 he was badly wounded, the location given on his pension records is Ypres,he was moved to 1st australian ccs where his leg was amputated.

I see some action took place at Tieghem on 31/10/18 and wondered if he may have been wounded here, could any pals confirm if the 3rd london regt. were in action here?.

many thanks in anticipation,

kind regards,

I think the 3rd Londons (173rd Bde, 58th Division) were in the Lille area at the time.
