Where to start

Hi everyone

A question:-

if you do not know if any of your relations served in the war where would you make a start?

Is there a national registry of all personnel who served in the armed forces?

Hope someone can point me in the right direction as i have the names of a few relations and would like to find out if they served

I'm not aware of one central register.

If you go to the Long Long Trail site (link top left of this page) and look for the Research a Soldier section then that should help re soldiers at least.
