Hi,

Can anyone help to identify this uniform? Is it a Sherwood Forester or Leicestershire Regiment???

Thanks

Raich

Any chance of a more detailed close-up on one of the buttons?

The buttons look like General service, nothing signicant there.

Mick

a close up of the lump on his right shoulder might throw something up.

The shoulder title isn't that of the Sherwood Foresters. Great War period titles were much larger 'Notts and Derby' affairs in a rough oval shape. It might be Leicesters but it could be others as well. Sorry, can't help further.

Hi Jim,

In fact that is very useful, as it was in a folder with the name of a sherwood foreseter relative on the front. I had my suspicions as this guy doesn't look like the brothers of the sherwood forester at all (he's twice the size for a start)...

Thanks
