I will get the Coleman's Hatch (Sykes) photo as it is only about ten minutes from where I am sitting. I know the grave well.

It is a private memorial which is in reasonable condition. The inscription reads....

"Who holds thee now?

Death I said; but there the silver answer rang.

Not death, but love and life"

Hi Marco

If no-one else can get you the Wrecsam one, I will do so, but it won't be immediately. Remind me in a few weeks' time!

Marco,

I'll go and look for the one at St. Mary's Church, Ingestre. This is the church next door to Ingestre Hall, home of the Earls of Shrewbury. Your soldier was Charles John Alton Chetwynd-Talbot, Viscount Ingestre. Viscount Ingestre is the title held by the Earl of Shrewbury's oldest son. I'm pretty sure he's buried in the big family vault next to the church. I know Ingestre Hall and church very well as it's where I met my wife! I'll go in the next few days.

Marco,

Sorry for the delay but the weather here in North Wales has been so bad in the last couple of weeks that any photograph taken would have come out badly. Anyway I went to the cemetery after work today and got some pictures for you. I'll post them when I can find the cable that links the camera with the computer!

Marco,

Here are the ones from Conwy. I'm sorry that the weather was not brighter!

I am afraid that there are no individual graves, just this special memorial. This is a close up.

And finally, the view from the memorial, with Conwy Castle on the horizon.
