201108 Cpl Frank Palmer

Can anyone tell me what gallantry medals 201108 Cpl Frank Palmer of the 2/5th Lancashire Fusiliers was awarded in the Great War?

I know he received the MM & Bar, but he may have also been awarded another bar to the MM or a DCM. The information I have on this subject is conflicting.

201108 A/Cpl F Palmer MM, Lancashire Fusiliers was awarded the DCM which was gazetted on 15th November 1918.

Terry, are you saying that Palmer was only awarded the MM once? If so, can you tell me the source for that?

Recipients of the Distinguished Conduct Medal 1914-1919, R W Walker. Can't comment on the bar to the MM. You will need to check the London Gazette to confirm that.

The dates are when gazetted,I have a nominal roll of over 5,700 recipients who recieved MM & Bar.

Thanks again, Doug - that clarifies the situation for me. I know that he held the MM & Bar when he was recommended for another award but I have two pieces of information, one that says the third award was another Bar to the MM and one that suggests it was a DCM. Now I know he finally recieved the DCM.
