peter harris Posted 15 December , 2007 Share Posted 15 December , 2007 Ladies and Gentlemen, Yet another tall order for you, is there anyway the info on this medal card could confirm, or not, as the case may be, that the two extract's concern the same soldier. I would very much like it to be the same man, so if possible please put me out of my misery.

Sorry People, it seems the file for the medal card is too large to download, so will try to interpret myself: WRIGHT J Wm RFA Driver No / 3136 and 960854 47 DAC(t) Victory: RFA/170b (tf) 1482 British: " " Star: SDB List RA/2650 Do your best folks and many thanks for looking. Terry_Reeves Posted 15 December , 2007 Share Posted 15 December , 2007 Peter It appears he is not the same man. Driver Joseph William Wright of 47 Divisional Ammunition Column was discharged from the army on 21.11.18, after being accidentally shot through the right and left buttocks. I am tempted to say horse play was involved given his trade, but I won't. Terry Reeves
Max Posted 15 December , 2007 Share Posted 15 December , 2007 Peter Unfortunately I don't think that these two men are one and the same. The MiC seems to indicate that your man was part of the 47 Divisional Ammunition Column and as such they moved to France in March 1915 and stayed there for the duration. As always, I stand to be corrected. http://www.1914-1918.net/47div.htm Andy

Wright Joseph William. Corp:RASB Regimental No/ 254395 Enlisted: 25.10.14 Discharge: 29.11.18 Cause of discharge: P392XVTR / S Action taken: List RASB / 3409 Badge / Medal 9388/2"B Thank's again folk's. Peter. (xv) Free, after ___ years service under Article 1130 (ii), Pay Warrant Maybe the 'TR/S' refers to territorial service? Ian
