I am trying to find out any details of A/Captain Arthur Henry Rutherfoord of the Rhodesian Regiment. He was Killed in Action on Monday 23rd July 1917 and is buried in Iringa Cemetery, Tanzania. According to his Medal Index card in Kew, he served with the 1st and 2nd Rhodesian Regiment.

Arthur Henry Rutherfoord was aged 27 when he died and he is remembered on the Collingham war memorial in West Yorkshire. From my research he appears to have been the 5th of 7 children of John Brownlee Rutherfoord from Ireland, and the 7 children were born all over the world from Australia to Ireland and Yorkshire. I have been unable to find details of Arthur Henry Rutherfoord's birth or to find his connection with Collingham.

I'd appreciate any help or suggestions to find more details about him

Alan
