Armoured Cars in Egypt

My husband's great uncle, Arthur Purdy, was an Imperial Reservist living in Australia when WW1 broke out, having been a soldier in the 15th Hussars.  He was recalled and gives an account of his movements back from Australia to England starting with his initial deployment to Randwick Rifle Range and then looking after a number of German pows who were being interned at a camp near Liverpool, 20 miles from Sydney. He was eventually asked by a Captain R P Wells, a former officer of his in the 15th Hussars, to take up orderly for him.  He gives account of his many movements with the Captain in England.  In October 1915 the Captain asked if he would like to join him with the Armoured Cars (Duke of Wesminster's). He left Dohem for Egypt on Christmas Eve 1915.  He embarked on board the T.S. "Anchises" on the morning of Jan 5th 1916. The journey was apparently rough as everyone was sea sick and there was a submarine scare on 11th.  They disembarked on 15th Jan and encamped at Gabbari near the docks. His account of the activities in the desert cover several pages so I would be unable to type out all of these but will endeavour to scan them and insert, don't know if this will work but will give it a try.  He survived the war and went back to Australia.
