The Guardroom Posted 29 November , 2007 Share Posted 29 November , 2007 Hi, Can anyone tell me about B Bty, 312th Bde RFA. Recently found a Gt uncle who is on the War Memorial at Carville Durham who was killed during the war. CWGC states that Peter Richardson, was aged 33 when killed on teh 20th July 1918 and buried at Jonchery sur Vesle Cemetery. I am trying to understand where this Brigade served and what it was attached to, plus anything else forum members can help with. Many thanks. bigronhartley Posted 29 November , 2007 Share Posted 29 November , 2007 Hello Allen, B Bty, 312th Bde RFA was part of the 62nd West Riding Divisional Artillery (A History of the Div Artillery exists). On the 20th July 1918, whilst in their positions of readiness a chance shell burst on a sub-section of B/312, killing 6 men and wounding 2 Officers and 5 men. This occurred in the vicinity of Marfaux and the Bois de Reims which were being attacked by our infantry. Hope this helps. Regards Ron
