battiscombe Posted 28 November , 2007 Share Posted 28 November , 2007 you probably have seen the London Gazette postings which show him having a MM and Bar in 1919 69311 Sjt.A.Watmough,M.M.;C/156th Bde.,R.F.A.(Leeds). (first M.M.'s gazetted 28th January,1918.) his medal index cards - he has 2, one for the MM - should show if he was a regular and may hint about previous history - if he had been in France before joining 156th, for example the 156th were a Camberwell Bde I think - and he was a Leeds man apparently - could well be a regular with that number, but the number can't help more david I am trying to find out about a 69311 Sgt Alfred Watmough MM*, C Batt, 156 Bde, RFA. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks. Phil
