Hello All

Can anyone help with my photos. They show men of the East Surrey Regt. One of the men is my gmothers brother Alfred Harding ( Sgt Lewis gun section) and possibly another of gma's brothers but unconfirmed. Both survived WW1. I have their medal cards. This is all I know about their service. Alfred Harding Reg No9434 and possibly his brother Oliver Harding Reg No5460. What does "SWB list" on the medal card mean ?. If I knew which Battalion they where in maybe I could trace their service.

This is my first attempt at this, hope it works

SWB - silver war badge list - a badge awarded to those discharged through wounds, illness etc

the swb reference is to the SWB roll held at the national archives - will confirm date enlisted, discharged and reason for discharge
