Remembered today,

Private 9606, Thomas Scott, Scots Guards, who died at home aged 28.

The following is an extract from the local newspaper.

Recently a little girl named Scott died from influenza at the Cove Farm. Her father, Private Scott, of the Scots Guards, who has been in France for several years was wired for. He arrived at Dunbar by the late train, and covered the long distance to the Cove on foot, (about 8 miles).

Delay in recieving leave caused him to be too late to attend the funeral. On reaching home he became unwell and in a few days also succumbed to the maladay. The funeral took place on Sunday 24th November. Much sympathy is felt for the young widow who has lost both her husband and only child.

Always remembered never forgotten

P.S I have a family photograph of him but for some reason wont upload, anyone who is willing to post photo for me please P.Mail and i will send photo to you.

many thanks
