Hello All

Does anyone have any info on the collision between

the Lysander and the Linnet, I would paticularly like

to find out who was the Captain of the Lysander at the

time. I know it occured after Sept 1914.

I haven't yet found any detail about the collision, merely about the two ships, with photos,if you are interested. Both L Class Destroyers completed August 1913,and attached to 3rd Destroyer Squadron. Both at Battle of Jutland 1916.Both to Escort duties 1917. Linnet scrapped 1921 and Lysander 1922. For pics see:

except that destroyers before 1918 are listed in the lower part of the site !

Best wishes

Thankyou Sotonmate,

Apparently, The Linnet crashed into the Lysander, I have a

little tale about the man who was captain of the Lysander at

the time, but cant find out who it was. I will hve to track the

record of a few of the Harwich Captains. J.Taylor is my

favourite at the moment. Your help appreciated.
