Remembered Today:

Stanley Stuart Williams

Recommended Posts

I was asked to look into my step fathers grandfather, Stanley Stuart Wiliams to see if i could put some details to photographs in Afganstan. I found his record of Short Service which details that he was not approved for service and also prior service. It took me a while to figure out what it says but I think it says "4 West Lancs (How Brgd) R.F.A. No44 Y.X. Corpl Saddler 8/4/1910".

My problem is that I don't know how to persue his records, the internet and telephone are my tools at the mo. The other thing is I am unsure of the meaning of the No44 YX referance.

Could anyone please help?

Cheers Dave.
